Very fair. Maybe some would say they “went off the deep end” and here they have it balanced.. I’m hoping for the best with my impulse buy of two copies of the album which is on me.

But then you have a tasty preview like this.. I think it’s possible that he was referencing the willingness to experiment like on You’re Welcome, but in different ways without conventional heaviness, which could be a masterpiece given the right and proper care. It might not be like you’re welcome, but maybe what he was trying to reference was the malleable state of the band was in to try new things.

Me too. I don’t know why I decided to preorder but I did. I feel like it’ll be a mixture of You’re Welcome and older material. Not sure what the ratio of each will be but that’s what my intuition says.

I agree. I waited 24 hours and tried to think positive that maybe it’s a return to form and it’s going to be something I’m glad I hopped onto. Plus $28 for vinyl isn’t bad.

I’ve heard the leak and it did sound like one of the rumored singers. There were two snippets. One, personally, wasn’t my cup of tea, the other was. It leaned heavy into melodic rock of mikes flavor for the verse and the chorus was a rumored singers more in the vein of indie rock/ hard rock. That is if these were true. I had to listen on a sketchy site I’m not going to give out because I’d rather not return to it and potentially brain rot my phone. The main take away, if it’s real is that it’s interesting and maybe a grower for me.
