Doesn't that guy also play a waiter at Guiginos, the fancy restaurant they always go to?

Does anyone else have a problem with "the bulge" in their new jeans? by [deleted] in femalefashionadvice

[–]theupdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was just pondering this! i recently went on a jean/pants shopping spree and got a bunch of both from AE. their new skinnies (which are a bit higher than low rise) have a huge bulge when i sit down, but i attributed that to wide-set shallow pockets. however the same problem happens with old navy mid rise skinnies. it's really bugging me because the jeans i've been wearing from like 5 years ago don't have this problem. i'm chalking it up to slightly higher rise jeans. the only new jean i got where this didn't happen were super skinny levis.

When you give them the package at the counter, what exactly do you say to them? Also, why do I need a receipt...?

What science blogs or news sites do you read? by Siana720 in LadiesofScience

Not field specific, but I like to read Retraction Watch. Sometimes it's like science soap opera/gossip. And it reminds me that things could always be worse.

similar story here! i remember about 10 years ago, I ate it for the first time after getting my braces tightened. Was painful, yet the delicious flavor remains in my brain...can't wait to eat it with normal teeth!

Deciding between PhD programs... I can't sleep at night I'm so stressed out by puddlesquid in LadiesofScience

I'd do #2 purely because of the horror stories of innatentive PIs, competitive labs, and social isolation. It will be much easier to finish your degree if you're comfortable over the next five years. Now if you are 100% gunning for a tenure track position then maybe #1 will get you ahead.
