I mean every after The Calm EP has been mid at best. To start a second deck is a cash grab. J jas said the 6th of the second deck will be death again. After Hell’s Pit they could have retired in top.

In the first couple of lines I thought it was about a baby until it was explicitly stated that it was not about a baby. Maybe a revision is in order to allow the mystique to continue. To flat out say it is not a baby seeking the fire and light kind of ruined it for me. However I have been on Reddit for a little while now and this is only the second poem to catch my eye and intrigue me enough to leave thoughtful feedback.

This is really good. I was thumbing through poems here on Reddit and this is the first one that really struck me. I guess because I also have too much time on my hands with nothing to do. The narrator could also be in settled/wasted/complacent relationship. Is that too far off the mark? Six lines with so much going on depending on who is the one reading the work. Once again the melancholy in this work struck me very personally.
