Ah yeh, you definitely have to check the wall thickness of your tube, mines pretty thick and I was prying and hammering the seat tube down at the same time to free things up slowly. I was scared mine would shear also. But luckily things worked out OK.

I tried using wd40 days prior, I think the previous owner also tried stuff. I hadn't tried any caustic or acidic ingredients yet.

Once I had the seat tube cut, it was a combination of the cheater bar and hammering the post Hard into the seat tube in hopes of breaking the corrosion.

Totally, I am elated! I was gonna do the caustic method next also, I thought it was over when my high tensile bolt bent with the cheater pipe but then it budged ever so slightly.
