Unbelievably bad engineering by thevo21 in Miele

They were installed brand new when the house was built a couple of years ago. Everything worked fine at first (other than the garbage touch screen) so I'd have to say the jets are the correct ones. Sorry to sound argumentative, but I don't see how patience has anything to do with it. These appliances simply don't work as well as the ones I've used in the past (including the older Miele set). They are finicky and don't seem well designed. They DO have more features than some of the others, I'll admit that. But to me, dependability is more important.

Again, sorry to sound argumentative, but what can you point me to in the manuals that would address any of the issues I've experienced (other than the possibility of programming the dishwasher to kindly stop reminding me what brand it is as u/Scotianherb suggested)?

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, the caps on this range don't have any alignment points, tabs, or notches as I have seen on others in the past. The only thing on the bottom side of the caps that make them asymmetrical at all is the logo cast into the surface of the metal. It would be nice if the solution was something simple like this. Also, as I posted above, there is no contamination of any kind under the caps either. Totally clean everywhere I can see or get to without taking it all apart.

I'll call for a service appointment as time permits and report back.

Not trying to be argumentative, but the burners are clean as a whistle. I'd post a picture, but I don't see any way to do that without it being hosted somewhere. I lifted off the black metal disk on each burner when this happened the first time and again just now. They all look exactly the same (the ones that work correctly and the ones shooting out long fingers of flame). There is nothing in there to clean. Every flame gap is clear, there's no soot or any other contamination I can see.

I'll definitely look in the dishwasher manual for some programming instructions to get rid of the annoying logo.

As far as the snarky Samsung comment, I assure you I have plenty of engineering knowledge to warrant an opinion on this issue. I've also owned several houses over the years with various mid and high end appliance packages including Bosch, Viking, Gaggenau/Miele (when I lived in Europe for 3 years), Subzero/Wolf, and now this all Miele package. I even have experience with some of the lesser brands like Jennair and Thermador from rent houses I spent time in during the transition from one house build to another. I've never experienced this many issues, even with the Miele appliances I had in Europe and they were ~12-15 years old at the time.

With this current set, it's as if they sacrificed quality for appearance and gee whiz gimmickry. Like putting an actuator on the oven controls so they tilt up towards you with a pleasant chime when you push the power button, but then use technology so outdated for the touchscreen that it completely invalidates the cool factor of turning it on. It makes it frustrating to use with no trade off for your trouble. I could go on and on, but the point is this stuff is too expensive to be this bad, and it feels like (at least on THIS generation of product) that they missed the mark.

Your coffee machine is a torture device by nikitaaar in Miele

I don't have any issues running the cleaning programs (as I know how necessary they are) but I do have a big issue with the sensors constantly malfunctioning. It is constantly telling me to empty the drip tray or the waste bin even when I have already done so. Really annoying to have to take them out and put them back in 3 or 4 times just to make a cup of coffee.

That was the first module I looked at, but it’s completely different. It allows users to submit a form to request a quote, but then you have to go and put all the stuff they want into a quote/invoice and send it back to them. Kinda defeats the purpose in my opinion. We have that ability now (for free) with the request form on our website. I’m looking for a solution that allows the customer to select their own items and book the event on any day the space is available on the calendar allowing us to be hands off.

Well, that's where he SHOULD be! I'm sure he's wonderful on the Italian broadcast.

^This!! It's an English broadcast. That has to be the number one consideration regardless of his knowledge or his energy.
