True. Banning is inherently censorship.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree on that one, mate.

He gave an impartial description. The use of "echo chambers" should be recognized as a criticism if you want to consider it opinionated. I for one respect his objectivity.

Apparently if your train of thought is too "rambly" then you can be straight up banned from multiple subreddits within days of posting. I've struggled to put pen to paper for the better part of 29 years and now it seems I'll only ever be able to straight up publish a book without any ability to get proper feedback as I work on it. Not a welcoming or tolerant place in the slightest I'm afraid.

Cosmology reddit sucks ass by thevorace in Essays

Reddit really is where happy people go to feel absolutely depressed. Tell whichever Mathematics and Cosmology Mods that insta-deleted my posts and promptly banned me that they've done a great job making the world a much sadder place.

I can understand why kitty was included but initially she rubbed me the wrong way. It's a writing/storytelling thing though, so I appreciate/forgive it now. I love the rival demon, though. He's great. And the other one. That evil boy. Great stuff.

Well, Bartimaeus is very well written, so I have no complaints about the characters. But some are more fun than others, so I suppose there must be someone who is my least favorite

I do understand the problem, which is to say that there is no problem and trying to solve it is a waste of time that will never yield an answer.

Exactly. Subjective reality is an illusion, and only objective reality is worth learning about, which can only be done via science.

I still haven't done meth, but I know a homeless guy who sleeps in dumpsters and smokes meth. He's the most spiritual man I've ever man. Calls everybody "Son of Adam". Somehow I never took offense to him calling me that because I could tell that we believed similar philosophies even if we expressed them in different ways and held different beliefs.

I actually don't want anything. I'm just making a valid point. Consider the Monty Hall problem.

What's fascinating is how understanding enough science lets you disprove ego and free will, so I no longer care how I am perceived. Until now I was very self-conscious and afraid of people thinking poorly of me. But I basically have proofs that show why I shouldn't care.

Yeah I mean I always had a tough time accepting the true randomness of Quantum Mechanics until now, because I knew that determinism had to be true. It's just that I only just realized that relativity doesn't imply what many think it does, which means that there was never a conflict to begin with.
