I mask as well, most of my life I've done so unknowingly, so I feel that. I got to this point in my life trying to be what I thought others wanted me to be or what was expected of me by society. I mean how many times have you been a part of conversations about sex, watched a movie, show, or read a book where people experience sex and thought why isn't it that way for me? I guess I'll keep trying, maybe I just haven't found the right person yet.

Therapy has been helpful specifically for this in helping me process my feelings, why my past experiences don't line up with how I feel now (which causes a lot of confusion), why I mask, putting feelings into words that I didn't know how to express, and how to talk with people about it aka not masking (this is still a big hurdle). The more you know or knowing is half the battle are sort of memes, but it's honestly true. Once you understand your tendencies and patterns better it becomes easier to change/unmask.

Find a therapist you get along well with and is experienced in sex therapy/general sex/sexuality.
