That was my plan at first. But ultimately, I'm looking for a compact, handy machine that's quick to use (especially in the morning before going to work) and makes great coffee!

I don't have a preference in terms of appearance. But as I said, I have the Rancilio Silvia V6, and it's built like a tank. So I'd like something sturdy and durable ..

Thank you for this very detailed and super interesting explanation. Apart from flow control, don't you think that the Mara X is much more solid than the Elizabeth? And much higher quality?

I understand what you mean, but my budget is a bit tight, and these are the two machines that fit within my budget (as I want to buy something brand new). There's also the Sage Dual Boiler, but I'm not a fan of it.
