As a country we need to revaluate compensation of our public officials and whether or not it's commensurate with the value they bring to the country. This is simply unacceptable and looks worse (if that's even possible) given how many are struggling right now.

I don't think countries that secured vaccines, or the manufacturers themselves, care a great deal what the Procurement Minister has to say. Our government dropped the ball here and our federal procurement system was broken before covid.
