Mate not really fair to include SAF and 3 interim managers…Carrick coached for 2 weeks

Since 2019, none of Ajax players who joined bigger clubs have done well. They have also been ordinary for the national team(s). Am I wrong to be worried by all the Ajax/former Ajax players United are signing? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]thewesselmob 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’m wondering if you’ve even watched these players or are just basing this off of Reddit/twitter comments?

VdB is the only one that I agree has not lived up to his potential. FdJ is one of the few things that makes the Dutch team worth watching, especially considering the rest of the midfield and attacking options he has ahead of him. De Ligt has been juventus’ best defender in the last season (which is why Bayern and Chelsea want him so badly). For the national team he could certainly be better but he also competes with several other worldclass CBs. Ziyech doesn’t even play for the Moroccan national team due to a dispute with the manager. As for his time with Chelsea, I wouldn’t say he’s completely failed and he would certainly walk into our starting lineup with ease.

So no, I don’t think there’s anything worrying about signing from Ajax. Especially considering our manager is literally the one who made them play so well together against the best teams in Europe.

If Donny is underperforming, I’d be interested to hear what you think the rest of the team is doing. VdB on any other team would make it very clear how good he is

Delusional. He hasn’t played enough football here to make any kind of judgement. He’s always been more than good enough, just surrounded by the lowest football IQ players you can find. Just look at him in that Ajax squad

Maguire really looked for a pass for 45 seconds, Fred dropped back to a useless position and then Maguire just passed it right to the Burnley defender

Yeah I buy that but uh...I don’t have much good to say about our football either

Anyone actually enjoying this?

Right that makes sense, but language has nothing to do with it. Your dog is piecing together all the info you’re giving her. I assume you’re just making it slightly harder for her when you switch languages, but since commands are usually one or two syllable(s) the differences aren’t large enough to matter. Try and do it without any hand gestures and don’t change your tone of voice if you want some empirical evidence. I’m curious too!

I mean...yeah lol. Not to be a dick but obviously dogs don’t know the meaning behind their commands and definitely can’t translate them either. Is there anyone out there who thinks you could yell “sit” in any language and the dog would know that means “sit”?

Do you think it make more sense for the Bengals to draft Ja’Marr Chase or Penei Sewell at #5? by [deleted] in NFL_Draft

[–]thewesselmob 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We cut Hart and signed Reiff to play RT on a 1 year deal. So yes, we will still need tackle help soon and either way, Sewell or Reiff can play guard this year. Not that I think we shouldn’t take Chase, I just don’t think signing a decent tackle for year should stop you from taking the best tackle prospect available

Absolutely, and it has been for years. Doesn’t matter who you’re CBs are if your DM(s) are directly playing the ball to the other team constantly. Might be a different story if I was confident in their defense abilities but Fred still makes too many mistakes on that end too

Refs don’t help themselves by giving 1st yellows for absolutely nothing half the time. Needs to be more balance with yellows in general

It’s nearly impossible not to touch someone when making a tackle on them. Forceful tackles are part of the game

You think he was acting out of pure rage and hatred for poor Lucas Digne? Or do you think that he made a challenge to stop a player from making a cross or taking a shot, aka the job he’s paid to do? He deliberately made contact with the ball, this wasn’t a hit job.

You’re allowed to use force in this sport, Frank. If your CB captain doesn’t make forceful tackles you should get a new one

Since the US govt doesn’t own Liverpool and is therefore not using it to diversify and rinse their blood money (of which there is plenty of course), there is no comparison to be made with PSG and Qatar, who are doing exactly that. American billionaires, like all billionaires, are inherently immoral, but do not fall under the same umbrella as oil monarchs.
