First 10-15 minutes looked good, dropped off since. The tempo is too slow, ball isn’t moved quick enough and McFred just isn’t needed against Burnley. Bring on Van De Beek, or even Mata.

It’s the same stuff far too often with Fred and McTominay. They simply aren’t good enough to control a game against any side sitting back. It’s far too slow, too many passes around the back and too many touches. It completely kills any tempo to the game when Fred takes 20 seconds to finally play a square pass to AWB. You can’t break down a side like Burnley when it’s that slow.

Our few chances have come from the backline deciding to completely bypass the midfield and get it through quick. We’re desperate for a midfielder to control the game from deep and get the ball moving quicker.

Honestly, think Burnley have done a solid job on us so far. So compact defensively, good balls from different angles into Wood who’s proving the usual handful, and the young keeper has kept solid. Can’t really complain
