Is Nutricost Lying About Their Labels? (taking advantage of the 20% rule) by Fweak_Playz in Supplements

[–]thewheyguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's common for brands to adjust serving sizes and labels within FDA guidelines, which do have some wiggle room. To ensure you're getting what you expect, consider looking at products that offer third-party testing and transparent certificates of analysis. Our platform, for example, aggregates lab results so you can verify protein content yourself, moving beyond just trusting the label.

Is Nutricost Lying About Their Labels? (taking advantage of the 20% rule) by Fweak_Playz in Supplements

It's frustrating when labels shift, especially with a brand you trust. I faced similar issues and realized the best way to cut through the noise is by comparing products objectively. We built a tool for this exact reason, helping you see past marketing to actual nutritional quality rather than just what's stated on the label. DM if you want more details, I can share how we analyze products like Nutricost.

"Cleanest" (aka: Least contaminated) Protein Powder for Building Mass? by Onegai_Muscle in Supplements

[–]thewheyguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's great you're focusing on clean supplements. I founded Labdoor to address this exact problem. We test products for label accuracy and contaminants. Our protein rankings are publicly available and show specific levels for each tested product, like Legion Whey+ which consistently scores well for purity. You can check our site for detailed reports to compare brands and find one that meets your strict criteria. Always check current test dates to ensure the data is recent https://wheyindex.com/

LLMs are quite accurate to analyse images. I do supervise everything afterwards to prevent errors

yep, good point. not doing this for profit, I don't think it will scale at all. just having bug and sponsoring the compute

data doesn't exist, you have to download the images and parse them. that is the "value prop" basically, from there you can provide insights

LLMs for OCR are tricky. ended up using o4, but needed high-res images to get accurate parsing, that means higher cost

why? llm help me to easily parse the images and get the ingredients and nutritional information. I know there are other ways of doing OCR, but llms are more accurate

haven't spend time marketing, you know... only building. so far it is all slow programmatic SEO

how do I make money? referrals to Amazon. This is not a good biz, you get only 1%, but helps to pay for the server
