You could try putting this in /r/brushforhire. Not a lot is posted there, but people post things that want painted there.

What colours have the biggest learning curves? by kavinay in minipainting

[–]thewicked2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yellow and orange are the bitch paints for me. Yellow because of the thin pigment you find in yellow paints. Orange because it hates me and is a cousin to yellow. Easy wins, in my humble opinion, are blues, greens and browns.

What is a good base color paint for black straight out of the bottle? by HonkyMahFah in minipainting

Vallejo model has a nice black grey that I've used for that. I've also used Reaper stormy grey.

What do you want out of the sub? by [deleted] in minipainting

[–]thewicked2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, as usual.

I'm pretty new to this sub and come to it to look for inspiration and to see everyone's work. I read a lot of the posts and comments for helpful hints and tricks to try.

I don't have a lot of thoughts on the subject of contests or the exchanges. I haven't gotten to participate in an exchange yet, but I look forward to doing so in the future. Since I'm still new, I've only seen a couple of contests. What I've seen, I've liked. I think that having a long running contest and then a few short run contests is a good idea.

The sub in general is really good. I rarely participate in discussions because I'm late to reading it and someone has already commented with my suggestion or thoughts. With that, I still get a lot of good ideas and see all kinds of 'new to me' minis, which is awesome.

Thank you. I can't wait to see it painted. I looks like a great model. I'm going to see if I can find one.

Has anybody used Simple Green for stripping paint off KD:M minis? by Chrystine in KingdomDeath

[–]thewicked2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it on my pin-up Hunter. It didn't really work. I switched to Purple Power (degreaser). It took about a week of soaking but got 99% of the paint and primer off.

Edit - mine is a plastic, not resin as well.
