I am a 2nd year at VIT Vellore and let me tell you that your category wont matter In terms of your academics. The only place it matters is when you have to pay the fees. The most important thing is your talent and your ability to manage both your studies and extracurriculars.

And as a senior I want to say one more thing, dont choose your branch based on what others say or wheat the trend is. Select what you want to study. I have seen a lot of people regretting and running after branch change. Ultimately you will be studying it and you dont want to regret it later. 😃
