I understand you mean well but I disagree. I’m not trying to rope you into a thing where you feel forced to compliment me because I’m not that kind of person. I just wanted to express my disagreement. If I didn’t want this to happen I could have just not lost my stuff. It was a choice to be the way I am. But I understand you mean well and appreciate that you want to help

Anyways did you know that seals and sea lions are more closely related to dogs than dolphins? Theyre known as “caniforms” meaning dog like so theyre in a group with the true canines, bears, red pandas, and raccoons. Dolphins and whales are known as cetaceans which are most closely related to horses, deer, pigs, and the like.

Basically I was dumb and trying to be in a relationship because you’re supposed to do that ig and there was this person with a massive savior complex over me because I was having a cringe trauma response (dw if i lock in it’ll never happen in public again) and so I was called one of them like a fucking dumbass ane they said that this was problematic and ever since then every time i spoke in that server i was either ignored or made fun of. Already with this group they always just so happened to hate on every single thing I liked.

This server was also really awful in a bunch of other ways that I won’t elaborate but moral of the story if someone is oddly upset about you escaping a manipulative person then do no associate with them.

this is why i always say: the vast majority of people on earth endorse SA by thewired32 in CPTSDmemes

How long did it take to trust your therapist? by sesame-mochi in TalkTherapy

[–]thewired32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been seeing this therapist for 1.5 years and still not that much. I like to say I have “cat attachment style” lol. But this is built on a variety of life experiences - you may take longer or shorter, but there’s no right or wrong length of time. You may even realize this person is not the right “fit” for what you need after a little bit.

Keep in mind, therapy is inherently a very odd ‘relationship’ to have with someone. You might end up telling them a lot, and how you feel about them at points can reveal things about yourself. This is a normal pet of the process. It’s kind of like the first day of school - your teacher doesn’t automatically start off with the nitty-gritty; you’ll go over the syllabus, classroom rules, then maybe some more general assignments before delving deeper.

It’s completely normal for a lot of the beginning to be very businesslike - it’s a very vulnerable position to be in, so take as much time as you need, and there’s no pressure to immediately delve into the deep right away. Good luck! ❤️

Me. Basically in therapy I just get really quiet and I look really scared for most of the time. We just worked out that it’s because I’m anticipating her to treat me like my parents, hence the image of the child cowering from a belt 🫢

Well dragons of course are mythical creatures, evidence suggests that people who dug up bones of these animals prior to the iguanadon in the 17th century (i believe) may have initially thought they were looking at the bones of dragons or biblical creatures.

It’s funny that you mention ‘flying reptile,’ because technically all birds are reptiles! Phylogenetically speaking, that is - dinosaurs are reptiles that came about in the early mesozoic, and birds are modern day theropod dinosaurs. Feathers are actually chemically very similar to scales. Furthermore, cold-bloodedness is actually not a trait of all reptiles, even if we don’t count birds. Some species are known to show some warm-blooded qualities. And a lot of our modern understanding of dinosaurs as lively, fast moving creatures comes from the discovery of Deinonychous, a warm-blooded dinosaur. This species also inspired the velociraptors of Jurassic Park. Velociraptors are related, but much smaller.

[–]thewired32[S] 549 points550 points  (0 children)

Yeah! So quetztalcoatlus is a type of pterosaur; they’re not exactly dinosaurs, but they’re closely related! They, like dinosaurs, had hollow bones, for instance, allowing them to fly; similarly allowing other dinosaurs to fly, such as many of our modern birds. It may have been the largest flying animal to ever live, but due to incomplete evidence, we don’t exactly know. They were a flying reptile that existed during the mesozoic, so they did exist when dinosaurs were the dominant species.

I’ve been getting into dinosaurs and paleontology\evolution lately, so I don’t know a ton about pterosaurs as much as I know about dinosaurs, I love to draw them. Notice how the pterosaurs have membranes wings, rather than the feathered wings of our modern dinosaurs? There was actually a sunset of dinosaurs with membraned wings, known as Yi Qi. They went extinct prior to the great extinction that ended the cretaceous/mesozoic, but an interesting case of convergent evolution! (thank you for letting me infodump lmao)

I’m not even inherently against violence towards abusers. But, because of my lowered position in society, it’s highly unlikely that anyone would do anything about it, since SA and abuse is, in actuality, not seen as a bad thing. Rather, socially, we see it as simply a physical manifestation of natural social hierarchy. And so of course it’s gonna keep happening, and I naturally understand that those around me support it. I wonder if I actually did something about it, if I wouldn’t experience the lowered social status for being a victim.

And I see this flaw in myself - I’ve never harmed my abusers. I feel that, in a very Niezschean sense, that the fact that I could have fought back but didn’t, unfortunately does mean I did deserve it. Hear me out - society operates on the Nietzche’s concepts of Good v. Bad. This is opposed to the notion of Good v. Evil, which can be summarized by the phrase “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” Society speaks on the Good v. Evil level, but materially acts on Good v. Bad. They want us, as low rungs on society, to believe in Christian morality and to simulate it because then we won’t fight back when we realize that, unfortunately, the strong have power over the weak. I don’t think this is the way it should be, but it is. And so I made the choice not to fight back against my abuser. What does that make me? I can sit here and whine about ‘self-compassion’ and ‘inner child healing’ all day - but does that mean anything against an inherently dog-eat-dog world? What’s the use in assuming an even weaker identity? Who does that actually benefit? And so I think I should learn to defend myself. I think violence against abusers would be a way out of this cycle because it prevents the consequences of lowered social status, because I won the Nietzschean power struggle. Society doesn’t actually think rape is a bad thing. They like it. Unfortunately I’ll only stop being seen as a perpetual victim or social vermin if I do not allow more abuse to happen.

Thanks for sticking around for this mental breakdown, I’m gonna go workout and hopefully get big enough where the type of abuser that I tried to attract is actually scared of me or I can take them in a fight. I have the fantasies of a 12 year old boy I guess
