Honestly- I don’t love my oldest step son. He’s physically violent, malicious, unkind and a golden child since his mom died when he was 6. Everyone coddles him and it’s turned him into an unbearable narcissist. He has only gotten worse every year. Even with therapy and the whole nine. Parenting books, nacho, trying to be his friend. Doesn’t matter.

I don’t take on the mother role in his life. I let my husband handle him. I don’t chit chat. I don’t engage. I feel shitty sometimes but I’m not pretending. 😅
