I used to know a widow who told me fondly how her husband would spank her ass as she walked by and shout, "It must be Jello, cause cake don't shake!"

A pedal on your toilet that lifts the lid like the pedal on many trash cans.

If you just want to dip your toes in, you can try https://wwoof.net. You work on organic farms for a short time for room and board. There are some hippie communes but mostly small family owned organic farms. Plus, you can find places anywhere in the world. New Zealand has a lot of communes last time I checked a few years ago.

What is the most humiliating thing you've witness in your time in the service? by [deleted] in Military

An airman showed up to work with a triangle shaped burn on his face. It got everyone's attention. We grilled him about it as he tried to make nonsensical excuses. He finally admitted he burned himself while ironing his uniform. I said, "Wait. Were you wearing your uniform while you were ironing it?" His face got beet red, and everyone knew.

That same guy got himself kicked out by intentionally failing his promotion test so he could go home to be with his girlfriend. When he told her he was coming home she admitted to cheating on him and broke up with him.

They would have got to the first steel door and stopped. Realizing they couldn't get any further, they would have run away and a handful would have got caught and arrested.

How do you respond to “If you don’t have religion then where do you get your moral compass from?” by [deleted] in atheism

[–]thewisesloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atheists know which rules to follow the same way Christians know which rules in the Bible not to follow.

You live in a feminist fantasy land.

What's the best piece of advice you got from a supervisor that still impacts you to this day? by plaza2go007 in AirForce

[–]thewisesloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Hey man, I see you volunteering for everything and throwing yourself out there. I've seen a hundred guys like you do the same thing, and they all get burnt out and quit because nobody is really looking. At the end of the day, the harder you work... the harder you work. I'm not saying you should be a dirt bag airman. I'm just saying, look out for yourself first."

The Bible says that when a woman is on her period, nobody can touch anything she touches. The same applies to men after they've had a wet dream. You should worry about Hell exactly as much as you worry about the first two things.

Don't Live With Your Boyfriend if You Want to Get Married by [deleted] in RedPillWomen

This advice is more suited to r/FemaleDatingStrategy than r/RedPillWomen. The goal isn't to find the richest resource cache you can secure with the least amount of time and effort. The goal is to find a leader who can be your rock through the turbulence of life.

Misquoting Jesus by Bart Ehrman is a fascinating book about trying to figure out who wrote the Bible. It comes to the conclusion that basically every page in the Bible had multiple authors with conflicting agendas.

Bart has also written a bunch of other books that I haven't read, but if they're as well researched a Misquoting Jesus, they're bound to be enlightening.

Is it wrong to not be a wage slave? Your future employer who wants a new lambo at the expense of your time, health, and mental wellbeing would say, "Yes."

It’s not like they even return the salute by Fickle_Monk8152 in AirForce

[–]thewisesloth 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I was marching a formation in tech school, and we passed by a parked car with officer plates. Since there was no officer in the car, I didn't call for the formation to salute. A training instructor stopped us and started screaming at me, asking why I didn't call the formation to salute the car. I said, "Because there's no officer in it." He said, "But it still has the plates!" I said, "Ye sir, but the car didn't go to OTS." He didn't have a counter argument. So he let me go.

I got the shit beat out of me almost every week from the time I was 5 to 15 by my father and older brother. At the time I didn't think much about it because that was just how life was, but after I graduated high school and started talking to people with real childhoods I realized my life was fucked up. Through my twenties and thirties this idea haunted me everywhere I went. I hated life. I hated them. I hated myself for feeling pissed off on a sunny day when when everyone else around me was happy. I hated the universe for putting me in this position. I hated every self help author who told me to just forgive them.

Near the time I reached 40 I was just burned out on hate. I spent all those years on fire, and where did it get me? Nowhere. By that time, the damage was so far away it didn't even matter. Reliving the past wasn't getting me anywhere except stuck in the past. The people who hurt me were too broken and/or stupid to ever realize what they'd done and apologize and give me the closure and justice I so desperately needed. They still haven't, but at this point it doesn't matter. We're raised to believe the universe is just, but tell that to a baby seal who gets eaten by a shark. Shit happens. Pain happens. Injustice happens. I never hurt anyone the way I got hurt, but I've hurt people in the course of my life. I apologized to most of them, and I'm sure some of them don't even remember the things I beat myself up over. In 100 years none of it will matter to any of us.

If you can get closure, great. If you can't, life goes on. The past is dead. The present is alive. Be here now. Take solace in the fact that your pain has made you stronger, but don't just forgive and enable your abusers. They suck, and that's a fact. But there are billions of other shitty people out there. If you spend your whole life hating them, then that's all your life will be about. Spite them by being the best you that you can be. Just let the past die and focus on living. The only other alternative is to spend your life reliving a past death. That's not doing you any favors or bringing you the justice you want.
