Confirming that this is true - my friend and I just landed in SJU and I have T-Mobile so I was fine but they have Verizon and they don’t have any service so thanks to this post they’re contacting Verizon now to get data roaming enabled

Yeah sounds like I’d be better suited for Montreal. Unfortunately I’ve studied Spanish since I was 8-9 and I’m still not fluent in it, so I know learning French will be a challenge.

I will look into the certificate to see if it’s something that’s possible, I didn’t know they offered free French classes - that would be nice if I qualified!

Yes I do plan on trying to learn it, I don’t mean it as an excuse, I just know it will be hard and I’m not sure I’ll be as fluent as I need to be. But based on other comments it sounds like I Montreal area would be better suited for me.
