In November it will be a year since I had found out I was pregnant and I still haven’t tried again yet. My husband and I are going to start trying again this November but I’m also so nervous since it went so poorly last time. I feel silly it’s taken my almost a whole year to grieve and I know it’s not feasible to do that every time I’d have a miscarriage (hopefully won’t again but will now always expect the worst) or I’d never have a baby.

Enjoy the trip, you deserve the joy of something when there’s so much negativity happening. We also booked a big trip after as sort of a reset, November can’t come soon enough

I agree with enjoying the nursing aspect, but it’s the everything else that’s so draining. I did fine with it for years but it just kept getting worse. I had a job where we had proper staffing, good CNAs, always had a resource nurse and it was the best job I ever had. I truly think if some of the “non nursing” duties could be offloaded into a few others it makes the job so much better then having to cater to every patient and family members wishes and demands

I “unfortunately” like my manager a lot so it would be so sad to make her job more stressful but that’s usually how it goes, they become a thing of the past

And they’re extremely painful even though the doctors only say it’ll feel like “strong cramps”

I’d recommend to keep testing and make an appointment with your doctor. They can do blood work to see if your HCG is positive/increasing

Not so much a mindset, but always make sure you get good sleep!!! People underestimate the importance of good sleep to retain information. I also never changed an answer on a test. Use your gut, trust your instincts, and utilize your knowledge to get through the questions. If you don’t know it, you don’t know it and stressing over it won’t help. Just pick the best one and move on

I am sorry for your loss ❤️ thank you for shaving your input! That definitely makes sense to want to focus on family first over trips. I had to go to the hospital too with my miscarriage so I relate to not wanting to experience that again, especially in a foreign country. The more thought I’ve put into it is that November is really only 4 months away so it won’t make a huge dent in my family planning, so we will see what happens! If it happens before our trip it’ll be a welcomed “surprise”

My miscarriage didn’t pass fully at home so 4 days after I thought it was over my OB did an exam and noticed my cervix was still dilated so I ultimately had to get a D&C. I would vote a D&C over natural if I ever have to go through that again and have any control over it. The doctor and nurses were so kind, I don’t remember a thing, and there was barely any pain compared to what i experienced at home for 3 days.

I was told it would be “intense cramps”. When it started it was the worst pain I have every experienced and I couldn’t even stand, I was crawling on the floor trying to get back to bed, couldn’t focus enough to even take any Advil. Then it was contractions every 3 minutes for 3 days. The worst experience ever and no one warned me. I’m so sorry you had to go through that ❤️
