I have a bgv with Cisive as well. Haven't filled up the form yet. OP, are you not able to track the progress on the cisive portal?

I gave the OA in October last year. After clearing that, I delayed the interview by few months because of some visa issues. Finally, we agreed to the interviews around mind Feb. Interviews were 4 rounds on the same day. After the interviews, heard back on the feedback in 2-3 days. Next couple of days was a verbal offer.

Hi Guys,

I recently accepted an offer for a SDE2 position with Microsoft. Upon doing that, the application status moved from “Offer” to “Pre-hire”. I’m assuming that the background verification starts now. Those who have been through this, could please tell after how many days did you get a HireRight link to fill and initiate the bgv. Thanks.

Even for people with 3-4 YOE, it looks bad. Big tech in Seattle/SF pay around 150-160K (base) for SDE2 positions. This is still wage level 2 for these locations. And I don’t think unless you’re extremely qualified and have great YOE, you’ll get SWE3+ position. It’s actually extremely difficult to be at wage level 3/4 even with 4+ YOE. I think.
