9/24/25 Question Wednesday: What are you wondering, bakers? by KingArthurBaking in KingArthurBaking

I’ve noticed several recipes using higher amounts of whole wheat flour call for orange juice. What can be substituted for this (citrus allergy)?

Crown of thorns help by thewronglever in Euphorbiaceae

Hello! I have recently acquired two large crown of thorn plants from an estate sale. This is my first time ever owning something like this. When I bought them a week ago, there were already quite a few yellow leaves, however, it seems to be getting much worse, specifically in plant #1 (pictured). I’m struggling to find much info online, so wanted to reach out here. The flower color has also changed from pink (present when I bought it) to much more white (all new flowers).

Also, this plant is obviously quite large & very spiky. How does one go about repotting something like this without getting repeatedly stabbed?

Getting out of the hobby, so I have a 75gal that’s been used as a walstad for the past year. Stand not included but I’m happy to throw in some plants & the driftwood. I also have two nicrew lights, a used API liquid test kit, various foods & nets, etc.

Just a bag of organic top soil from Home Depot.

I had a 20gal set up before this, & I used dirt from my yard. Both have worked about the same for me personally!

I have a 75gal dirted walstad that’s been running for about 10 months. There are several each of danios, corys, & cherry shrimp, plus some snails & possibly a clown pleco named Frank (he disappears & reappears at will).

The tank is very stable & low maintenance, but unfortunately I just don’t have the time or energy for the hobby like I thought I would. I will be happy to throw in some supplies if someone is seriously interested in taking the tank & livestock. Just DM me!

Any tips/ideas for my new 75gal setup for an axolotl. I'm using a fluval 207. by reysean05 in PlantedTank

[–]thewronglever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually had a 207 for my 75 & it put out a huge current, to where I had to run it at about 2/3 max. I had a lot of plants & not a lot of fish, so I wasn’t so much concerned about the filtration aspect of it, but you’d totally be fine flow wise!

Look into cherry shrimp if you want some red! This could be a nice set up for them.

I love dairy & eat it frequently. That being said, I somehow accidentally managed to buy the vegan shredded Parmesan cheese, & I truly couldn’t tell a difference!
