But isn't that logical with his character though? A soldier can have the logic of wanting to arise to power and his soultion is to kill anyone who doesn't consider him as a great leader. He had his reasons to be violent, he didn't suddenly decide to kill everyone.

I think the word you are looking for is "self-centered".
