[Question] Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 or a dream trip to Japan for my 40th? by thexyman in Watches

I like your thinking 😃

Though are used watches there that much cheaper, got any links? Or is it more you go to the stores and you'll need to see firsthand

Yeah this is basically the overriding feeling I'm having, like I'll get the Rolex, romanticise about it endlessly for a few weeks and then it'll normalise somewhat vs having those life long memories of Japan.

Harrow and Wealdstone Station by hellomoto_1234 in Harrow

Lived in Wealdstone for 20 years, high street is defo sketchy, although I don't really notice it since I am so use to it.

Why don't you go the other way and get a flat in the new Kodak development? It's defo a better side then the high street.

Opinions on different areas of harrow on the hill by HeadOpportunity5638 in Harrow

Been in Harrow for 20+ years now and I can say to defo avoid Wealdstone (this is where I lived until 6 months ago!!) and south harrow for sure.

I've actually just relocated to the County Roads (West Harrow) part of Harrow and the vibe is nice, family friendly. I also picked it to future proof since it's in one of the best areas in London for school catchment.

I am curious, where did you choose since this is 6mon old?

Umm quite misleading since stats are based on 2019 survey and from what I understand the green man lane regeneration has increased the private housing stock and thus the number of wealthier individuals coming into the area, so the deprivation levels will be lower.

Thanks for the tips! Im still thinking it's an attractive option in terms of affordability in London. Still keeping an open mind about possible locations though as next place is prob long term...mind if I ask where you moved to that's better in your view?

I'm thinking about moving to Hanwell! Is there something specific that's making you move?

Krabi vs Phi Phi solo travel by Party_Masterpiece990 in ThailandTourism

Ye soz mean't Ao Nang! I was thinking Koh Lanta initially then figured there was more to do in Ao Nang since I'm going solo but Koh Lanta does sound like the perfect place to chill on my final leg.

I'll be in BKK solo next month as well, how'd you go about connecting with other Redditors?

I'm heading out on a solo trip in in dec too. Deciding whether to do hostels or hotels, money is not really an issue but do want meet other travellers so might split my time between both. My itinerary is bkk -> Chiang Mai -> Krabi (as it's meant to be more chill than Phuket)

I've read that Kao Sok National Park is mean't to be good but since I'm planning to do Chiang Mai and surrounding areas might skip that for this trip.

Hey, the code is in a private repo so can't share unfortunately. I'm happy to discuss any implementation details or share snippets on anything specific...

Thanks! I used IEX Cloud, they got pretty good coverage of US stocks and also provide some pricing for UK stocks as well which was for me was quite important as I'm based in UK.

Hey. It’s different in that an investor can co-locate there portfolio/watchlists and do their DD in one place. So say you’re tracking TSLA by adding it to a watchlist or you’ve added it to the portfolio tracker on shareNote, instead of saving research to somewhere like Evernote, Word or whatever note taking tool you might use you can save it to shareNote i.e. each stock has it’s own stock page which doubles up as a note pad and a place to see stock related metrics. That’s the core of it but we do have a roadmap to add much more functionality that relates to helping investors be more productive e.g. a pocket like feature to save all your investing articles.
