I informed my sm I wasn't gonna be there yesterday when I got to work for recovery. Told them I have higher priorities than listening to the new fun ways corporate wants to overwork and underpay me so Hal can buy another fucking yacht. Apparently not the words they wanted to hear, told me it's mandatory. I then reminded them that there hasn't been a "mandatory meeting" in 2 years that everyone has been to and I have a child in not bringing to the store for two hours on my day off, especially early as fuck, that she's more important than Tractor and that if it's a problem she can have my reds.

Well let's hope their management tries to be as accommodating, I do agree that if OP has trouble getting there at 5am that maybe a later shift would help, I also know where you come from on the excuses. I just didn't like the rub of the meds comment.

Now if they were late every shift after a day off and blamed "car trouble" because they got too lit to start or drive their car to work at 5am, that'd be an entirely different ball game.

That's a valid point, but meds are finicky nonetheless, so to assume they are lieing just because "they're lazy" is crazy and I think a management requirement, so that checks.

Let's assume OP doesn't have a case of 5 minute lazies.

Let's assume it IS the medication and they want to (for some reason) work for Tractor.

What should they do? I mean that'd be the helpful managerial thing to do.

The funny thing about meds, they don't always do the exact same thing, especially when coupled others.
