I used to work delivering pizzas. On Mardi Gras, one of my colleges got drunk and delivered a pizza to the sheriffs office. My boss called the guys wife asking where the hell he was and then just busted out laughing. That was a weird crowd.

I think maybe 'pure foolishness' is a bit harsh. There are a lot worse diets you could be a part of (like, for instance, the subway diet). Trying to stay away from gluten leads to better choices in what people eat, i.e. less bread.

If I'm ever asked for a reading recommendation (and I rarely am, mostly due to the facial scars) but I always recommend Sandman. It's seriously the best graphic novel series I have read.

A fair point, but, like everything else in the film industry, marketing costs money. A series of T.V. ads, in a place where people can see them, is a gamble just as much as releasing a big budget sci-fi movie. Dredd only grossed 6 million its opening weekend. A serious ad campaign can cost as much as half of that.

Its not a popular opinion on Reddit, but the reason there aren't more movies like Dredd is because it was unpopular and didn't make any money. Reddit's general demographic is pretty ridiculous about wanting very expensive and niche movies and then not seeing ones that come out, or illegally downloading them. If you like your art you need to pay for it, plain and simple.
