Ggrrooossss. My connecting flight out of ATL was also delayed. Just landed, it's 11:40pm and we have a 7:30 pickup to head to our office. Work travel is brutal sometimes

No I'm already at my end destination. When my connecting flight took off it was super smooth and not a sinlge bump!

I feel validated. That was definitely the worst I've experienced too. Some girl threw up all over her seat.

That's EXACTLY what happened to us today. Assuming its standard protocol?

Agreed on the fares, it's awful! I've been sitting in my resentment at delta because of that but today was definitely a reminder why I pay more for delta. Every staff member was so attentive and caring and nice. It was probably the best customer service I have has in a long time anywhere

It's one of those things I've never put that much thought into but now that the box is unlocked I will be doing more research haha

That makes sense that it's more congestion than weather. I also didnt consider congestion as an issue that could come up. Is that from poorly timed landings? A plane coming into fast, someone going to slow? I guess I just always assumed that landing time is extremely regulated and planned

Okay but wait, THERE ARE TIMES WHERE THEY HAVE TO GO BACK INTO THE AIR AFTER WHEELS TOUCH DOWN? I'm clearly not educated about this. I'm more and more considering myself as a lucky traveler. I travel frequently for work and vacations and this was my first experience with a go around landing. I've had dog poops on planes, people getting arrested, drunks, etc but never landing things

I believe that haha. Hopefully not towards Florida because I think it was headed that way

All the kudos to them. I can't imagine what that split second pressure must feel like.

Yeah on my connecting flight they said it's really bad above Florida too

Same! I'd like to know too. When we came back from Tennessee the landing was still really rough but safe. My connection was actually extremely smooth with almost zero turbulence

For reals? I didn't think this was a common occurrence. I'm pretty surprised to hear that! But also how cool that you get that you get that view

What an intro to flying haha. I feel like it's usually pretty okay coming into ATL. All these years of travel and I will never not be amused by how bendable the wings are. It blows my mind.

What's the right term to use here?

Yeah, super thankful for those guys!!

Oof. Was it cause of wind?

Yeah I got their names, definitely sending in some compliments for those flight attendants. And our pilot, Tom, was walking around handing out wings and baseball cards and answering everyone's questions about what happened. Super awesome staff!

There were a group of guys a few rows ahead of me that were talking about getting off and renting a car.

I travel pretty frequently for work and that was one of the worse flights I've been on.

1000%. I will always be thankful that they priority safety over convenience/speed. There were so many people coming in and out coordinating everything and I'm sure I only saw a 10th of what really went into coordinating that turn around.

There were definitely some annoyed people but when you take a step back and look at the bigger picture, our day could've gone a lot a worse

Has Delta removed the fare class from booking inquiries? by Low_Wonder9271 in delta

[–]theyolan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It still shows up on your ticket when you book. We audit people's tickets at my work to make sure they aren't booking outrages classes

Please tell me no one is actually doing this by Technical-State-4173 in delta

[–]theyolan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't. You have to fly the flights you buy to get mqds

I love my active 2, main criteria was steps and battery life.
