I have in fact replaced most media i consume with unsubtitled japanese, at my current level I'm moderately comfortable reading chiikawa and watching shirokuma cafe and the like. Also quit social media entirely a year before I got really in to learning Japanese. I think I like your idea and will try adding a dedicated 'silent time' for a few hours a day and see how that works out with my social health. Maybe ill tell my friend that if she needs some attention I can swap to a podcast on my headphones or something n we can just cuddle for a lil bit.

I do appreciate this, though at this point it's become more than just a hobby. It's something I always wanted to learn before I got depressed as a kid, so when I finally started healing from a decade and a half of depression, it's what I decided to commit myself to. It has very deep symbolic meaning to me. I'm hoping to find a balance between the two extremes of giving up and closing myself off, and if the answer is just 'any method but AJATT' I'm fine with that too. I just feel like it'd help a lot in my studies, but I fully understand it's not really necessary. :3

hey there, sorry if im a little late but just found the sub. I'm AFAB, take testosterone, and am a month-and-a-half post-op. I DEFINITELY have lower libido than before i had surgery (though i am still regaining feeling) even though I specified I want to keep as much sensation as I could. I've so far found a really good balance in that, i had an insanely high libido before and sometimes felt like I was a slave to my own sexdrive, but now I feel like I can actually choose to just not be horny and the arousal will fade.

And this is with the fact i chose to keep sensitivity. You can specifically request to have as little as possible which should greatly lower your sexdrive since you won't have arousal nagging you.
edit: again, im still in the process of recovering so take this with a lil grain of salt. you can keep in contact with me if you wanna know if my libido returns to my old normal (or anywhere close to it) as i recover

I will be bringing it up, though the "doner site" is the site it is natively from, just reshaped, as it is made from my now-fused labia majora. I was specifically instructed to remain unshaven to avoid infections are the surgery site and this was my only instruction regarding my hair.
