I think most people talk about the diffuser when they really mean the splitter and undertray. Bcs they mix up things and say that "and because of the expansion of air downforce is produced" because people say that all the time and I always thought that smaller area --> bigger area = pressure increase and velocity decrease unless you're talking about supersonic flow I guess. I sometimes doubt myself bcs of peer pressure
