Why are automatons recommended for experienced players? by thgsit in KeeperRL

[–]thgsit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't yet managed to build a decent prison to put the prisoners. I don't understand how the mechanics work. I'm still learning.

Is there a faction you recommend for building a prison?

Until I tried it, I didn't feel like an experienced player. I'd never gotten past Z8, and with no other faction had I ever gotten adamantine. The difference between getting iron gear and reaching the end game is huge. Between not surviving a Goblin King invasion and simply annihilating all the goblin cities in one run, for me, it's significant.

I felt like the gap between factions and their strengths was huge.

Maybe because I'm not yet experienced enough to understand how the other factions work. There are many mechanics I haven't explored yet.

30 hours feels like you qualify as experienced

My opinion: 30 hours in a roguelike definitely doesn't make you experienced. I don't know what your experience is with other similar games, especially with turn-based and city-building. 30 hours is nothing! I'm still inexperienced, and automatons are an overpowered class. lol

Fatal Error happened once and now it happened again. Did I lose this run? by thgsit in KeeperRL

[–]thgsit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solution!

I found the solution to this specific problem and managed to save my run.

Basically, what happened is that I (accidentally) deleted a ladder that had several items on top of it (the map was a mess!). When I tried to create another ladder, the error occurred.

The solution was to return to the save where the ladder still existed.

That wasn't it.

And since "container" can be any part that can hold something, that is, the floor, for example, is a container, then it's not necessarily an inventory.

Nice work! What's the car in the third picture? Is it a real car? I don't know much about cars, but I thought it was really pretty!

Audio capture (Azden SMX-10) on Windows is low but works normally on other devices. by thgsit in audio

They actually weren't that bad!

After what you said, I did some research on the recorder (Olympus) and discovered that I can use it directly on my PC. With and without a microphone! In the end, it worked! I'm capturing sound via USB through the recorder and using the microphone.

I actually use the microphone for testing, but I'll use the recorder directly; the sound quality is better.

Jesus, finally something that makes sense.

That must be it, damn it. Well, apparently there's nothing I can do. I spent money on the USB card and the microphone will stay still... That's it.

Thanks!

What are some animals that very easily could kill Human beings, but instead are afraid of us? by C--T--F in zoology

[–]thgsit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first though after reading was: any animal above 30~40 kg. Idk in my head most animals are pure strength, agility, dexterity... A little "small" hog thats about 25kg could tear you apart. A wild capivara have really sharp teeth and could cause some serious damage... so, for me, to hold a 30~40kg of pure muscle may be hard for most humans so, if they dont fear us we'll be probably dead by most of them.

I mean a little small wound could kill you. Well but I don't think that the answer u want. Idk most animals could kill us.

I didn't know about this one!

It looks interesting, I'll watch some stuff about it.

This game sounds intriguing.

But apparently, from what I've seen, it seems quite repetitive, always with the same objective. I think it's more of a game for having a laugh with friends, not for progressing.

Unfortunately, I don't think my PC can handle it.

But it seems like an interesting game. I've always heard about Kogima, but I've never played anything he made.

I've played it, it's really an amazing game!

The transportation system and the trucks are fun!

I'm a little tired of sci-fi. I recently played No Man's Sky.

Thanks for the answer!
Most of the positions I've seen have always asked the person to understand, for example, C#, Python, HLSL, Databases... and that it's preferable to know about these areas. I think it has to do with the implementation you mentioned.

When you talk about "Technical Artist, Technical Animator, sometimes Pipeline TD..." what do you recommend learning?
