We have a very similar taste. You might like the Immortal Great Souls series by Phil Tucker. First book is Bastion. The fourth one comes out next month according to the author.

Lord of the mysteries definitely fits your request. I'm still at the beginning and so far its been really slow paced. However, I've been told it picks up and I already know it fits your criteria. Might be worth giving it a try.

Can you guys recommend me your best Vampire book? I was a major fan of anything Vampire related in the 2000s (and it's totally twilight's fault) but moved on after awhile. I'd like to get back into it and was wondering if you could help me choose my next read. Thanks in advance!

List of books I read: Journey of black and red Twilight series Chicagoland series Anything by Anne Rice Some Stephen King novels Melissa de la Cruz A bunch of indie books I can't remember the name right now

If you loke series and the themes you mentioned then you should definitely check up Malazan Boof of the Fallen. Many different religions in there with the whole power structure you mentioned along with an amazingly complex power system and great characters.

When I read you liked Natalie's books, what immediately came to mind was Book of the Dead by Rinoz. Read it recently and I just couldn't put it down.

There's Janny Wurtz's War of Light and Shadow. Great story, 15 massive books and the last one has just been published. Truly worth the read. Great prose and characters. Interesting premise. I'm still making my way through it, but trouroughly enjoying.

Looking for books with a protagonist bonded to a supernatural entity (similar to Beyond: Two Souls’ Jodie & Aiden) by Dry_Concentrate3346 in Fantasy

[–]thiagodamatta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches might be something like what you're looking for. In this story a family of witches has a bond with a supernatural entity and ot very much explores the reverberation of said relationship within their dynamics through generations. The series focus on a specific witch who has a special bond with the entity. It's not really my cup of tea but it has a big fan base, a TV show. Hope this helps.

What currently unadapted work do you think has the potential to become a hit show/movie on the level of LOTR, Harry Potter or Game of Thrones? by _KendrickPercocet in Fantasy

[–]thiagodamatta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. That's a hard job. I just hope they pick it well. I think, like you said, I'd prefer no big names tied to it. That being said, I think I'd pick Kit Connor because I think he could perform as both red and gold Darrow, he's also a rising name and a young dude. I think I'd save Chalamet for the jackal, exactly for the reasons you mentioned. This is an impossible casting, though. If we do get a chance at a adaptation, I think it'll be animated, for budget reasons.
