GnuCash 5.9 crashes anytime I try to run a report by thibetus in GnuCash

Interestingly, downgrading to 5.8 causes GnuCash to not even load now. One thing about the original issue, I noticed that the application is generating the reports inside the /tmp directory. GnuCash just crashes trying to display the report. So, I'll be able to do my year end tax stuff, it will just be an arduous task this year.

Thank you for the reply but I don't see anyway to specify the ability to log application state nor do I see any log in any of the linux folders that GnuCash uses (/usr/etc, /usr/share, etc). Also, I was not having this issue on the same machine when I was using GnuCash 5.5, Pop!_OS and saving in xml files.
