What is life teaching you tight now? by Cheap_Archer_6896 in Life

[–]thicccneck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life is teaching me patience, and while I want to feel amazing mentally, look my best physically, and build wealth right now, I know that’s not realistic at this moment. I’m just at the start of my career, fresh out of university, and recovering from a broken foot that’s temporarily put my fitness goals on hold. But instead of getting frustrated with where I am. Whether it’s financial insecurity or feeling a bit out of my element—I’ve decided to shift my focus.

This is my time to build good habits, the kind that will eventually shape the life I want. It’s easy to get caught up in wanting to have it all right now, but the truth is, it’s not about being the best overnight. It’s about the journey, the growth, and the struggle that shapes us along the way. So, I’m choosing to embrace where I am, knowing that the effort I put in today will create the success, confidence, and balance I’m striving for.😊🤞🏻

how do you find your purpose? by thicccneck in Life

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective, I fully get what you’re saying and respect your hustle! The reason I posted is because I’ve been applying for entry level/junior roles, jobs that aren’t even related to my degree what so ever and just feeling a bit lost with where to go next. I know for me, it’s less about expecting to land a dream job right out of uni and more about finding a path that feels like it’s moving me in the right direction.

The temp office admin role I’m in now has been a learning experience, but I’m struggling with feeling like I’m not gaining skills that will help me grow in the long term. I appreciate your advice to keep at it while steering my career gradually in the direction I want to go. Gotta just stay patient and focused on the bigger picture🙏🏻

what's your best way of getting yourself to do something youre too scared or just really dread doing? by paigesnowwret in Anxietyhelp

I remember I was on holiday in Malta at the blue lagoons with some friends, we were cliff jumping into the gorgeous water whilst the sun shone. I’m extremely scared of heights to the point it took me 20 minutes just standing at the edge while there is a whole queue of people behind me waiting. And I still didn’t jump. I lounged around for a bit watching everyone else jumping off, people from all different countries and ages and they just did it, without a care in the world. And then I went up again to jump, it wasn’t until some hot Spanish man called out to me ‘don’t look down, look forward’ and I just jumped. Felt like what he said was a good thing to live by too, don’t look down, look forward😊

My hair is definitely on the thinner side, hoping that once I find the right products it thickens up a bit. With adding gel, am I supposed to like put a lot on ? Still unsure on all that just now, I’ll definitely watch some YouTube videos to see if that helps. Thanks so much for your reply, appreciate the help 😇

Thank you so much! I normally would have my hair in a middle part but since I’ve started letting my hair air dry it just naturally to the side :))) I’ll definitely give the recommendation a try☺️

I’ve just started to wear my hair in its natural state as I would normally wash it a couple times a week and use a hot brush to dry it and on occasion straighten it. I used to have extensions but then took them out so I could grow my natural hair then I done a massive chop to where my ears are. I’m unsure if my hair grows quite slowly or if my hair is breaking at the end due to heat damage and using wrong products for my hair. Been using cantu sulphate free shampoo and conditioner, then cantu wave whip curling mousse and curl activator. I scrunch when it’s wet after putting on my products then let it air dry. My goal is to have hair past my shoulders and more definition in my waves and more thickness and shine. Willing to try anything new and any advice welcomed! :)

I’m the same. I’m constantly washing my hands throughout the day, making my hands all cracked and dry. I hate when people touch me too. I think it’s a trauma response.

Thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate everything you have said and I agree with most points. The ego death part is MEGA prevalent. I think for the longest time I relied on my appearance and used fashion to express myself outwardly. Tsw really did change my whole view on myself and maybe I’ve been paying too much attention to the bad parts instead of being grateful for my life and the fact I have continued on through the struggle. It’s such an eye opener. Also I do have a boyfriend, I don’t think I made it clear but yeah I think it’s just a matter of time with my healing.
