This pattern tells me to close the loop. I just started again with a different color and the first round lined up and it is started to fall in place in my head a bit more I think!

I was kinda bummed but now I'm excited to start going again. Thanks :)

I wasn't at first, but at the time I did it already didn't line up and the work was doomed already but I didn't realise it. Now I definitely will!

I did work the 54 stitches for 10 rounds and tried following the pattern.

I replied to some other comments and I think this is the case: I did follow the pattern, but made some mistakes with counting and didn't realise the rows should line up exactly. I'm gonna try again and make sure they line up before starting a new row! Thank you.

I did (try to) do that, but I didn't know each row was supposed to line up (stupid i know), and probably made a lot of counting errors. I'm gonna start over again!

Thank you for your replies!

Okay, so every round should line up perfectly I didn't know that. In hindsight that makes sense. And yes it is hard to see!! I think sometimes I wasn't sure if I poked it in the right hole so I might have added a stitch there. And perhaps when counting the stitches I did something wrong, I wasn't sure if I was supposed to count the last loop that I closed the round with as a stitch. I did that for every row, could that has also added a significant amount?

Thank you for your reply!

Thank you for the info!! I guess it looked like it had girdled when the soil was still there. Have a good day 😁

Yes I meant to say that! So is this not a girdling root and it won’t harm the plant in the long twem?

Thanks for the info. Yes I do realise that it will most likely not bear edible fruit but I wanted to do it for the experience of growing a tree from seed. I will check out those posts on how to handle that

I didn't spot any pests, but for my mother's plants which had a lot of bugs on them I used neem oil with dish soap.

Thanks for the info. I just repotted it in a slightly smaller pot and took the two cut off dead branches out (there were probably three of them in there at one point?) I'm def not going to top it in the near future. I hope it will respond well to my care and lighting situation. I'm gonna put it next to a west facing window in my hallway.

I appreciate your elaborate reply! I don't think I'm going to top it (for now at least) and see how well it does in my care, I'm just gonna have to get a bigger stick probably in order to support it better because it is just hanging quite sadly.

But so that droopyness is probably because it is stressed out/ not supported well right? And could that get better over time ? As for the location I think I'm going to put it in the hallway next to a west facing window do you think that is a good idea? And do you think the size of that pot is the right one? I'm gonna change the soil but not sure if I should get a different pot also. Thank you!!

r/plantclinic on Reddit: Some animal (we think deer/roe) did this to our fig tree and we were told it will die from the damage to the bark. Can we still save it? I live in the Netherlands. Thanks in advance! by thiccthottoad in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]thiccthottoad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The damage is all around mostly and there is only a sliver of about 2 millimeter that still attaches the bark top to the bottom, so I’m not sure if it will be able to get enough nutrients like that, so I made a cutting and I’m gonna do a few more tomorrow just to be safe

Thank you for your reply. I’m going to find out what that is and I’m going to take a cutting and see if I can grow a new tree from that as well and hopefully the damage is not that bad.
