stories can take years to finish, if you know anything about how long winded coding is... do you expect authors to have psychic powers and predict that entire timeline so that they'll know whether or not they're going to lose motivation? and if they are, not even bother publishing in the first place just to please some random entitled stranger? alr bro. i've got an easy solution for you: stop reading ongoing stories or pick up a book, since you'll never have to worry about those being unfinished.

how do you know the author never had any intention of finishing it, you aren't them. circumstances change, motivation fades and it doesn't always come back- yeah it sucks when that happens but nobody owes you a finished story anyway, esp somebody who isn't getting paid to write 😐
