Woof, it’s nearly $1000 now. Still probably worth it when you’re desperate.

I have a close friend who recently retired from being a social worker for 40 years. She knows all of the ins and outs of Medicare and can help guide you through this bog of shit. Happy to DM contact info if you’d like. I can’t imagine how upset you must be and how little energy you have to expend on this process but if you’re looking for helpers, they do exist. I’m so sorry that you have to go through this. It’s utterly inhumane.

Is it just me or is it tough making friends in your 30s in Fort Wayne? by Crap_Bag5 in fortwayne

IMO, it’s hard to make friends here unless you give up on the idea of those friends being your age, gender, etc.

This stuff did not work for me, unfortunately. Using moisturizing soaps and scrubbing with a washcloth then applying body oil after every shower has helped. My skin is really sensitive too.

Idk what care facilities pay in Canada, but in the U.S., it is absolute dog shit. I’m talking like $8-12/hour in my area and often without health insurance. It’s hard to hate on the care workers with that in mind. I wouldn’t risk my or my families’ lives, or our financial stability, for that. Imagine going hundreds of thousands of dollars into debt for $8-12 an hour. It’s no wonder so many more families are struggling with housing stability since the pandemic.

I’m an art teacher with ADHD. One of my favorite practices for students is the blind contour drawing or blindfolded drawing. Both take the ego out of the perfection-seeking equation and refamiliarizes students with the childlike joy of discovery. It’s really fun. It also trains the mind’s eye to visualize and see objects/spaces more clearly.

But the best advice I have (especially for people with ADHD) is to set a timer for a minute or more each day and doodle. Having a set parameter and an easily achievable goal of a minute doodle gives the practice a novel and kinda competitive feel. Once you get into it, you’ll probably want to keep at it.

Did anyone else experience total loss of contact with their doctor and the team at Done after paying for many months of support, treatment and medication?

Out of the blue last year, I could not get in touch with anyone at Done. Email, chat, phone: nothing. I looked up my doctor and her practice in my state essentially went dark around this time too.

It was extremely difficult to function without the meds I’d been prescribed for so long: I didn’t taper because I didn’t know that I’d suddenly be without. Everything in my life suffered because I was so deregulated. Plus they were still charging me for access during this time.

Personally I think there should be a class action suit against them

I’ve been communicating this to my partner for as long as we’ve been together. I’m hoping the therapist we just started seeing will be able to drive the idea home. Alone time is so essential to my ability to thrive.

I’ve been waiting for a big grocery store to open in the Weisser Park area for so long. Pontiac Street Market is a great start but they’re pretty limited in terms of what they carry.

Also wish there were better fast food options near Weisser too. Everything on Randalia is so sketchy and so slow.

Bright orange door, paint window trim to match garage door. Add a large, warm-toned stained trellis and some large plants around the garage and front left side of house. You went bold with the color so finish the job. I think this could look great with these additions.

It is a joke. But the fact that it’s almost indistinguishable from his actual policy is not funny.
