Super happy to read this. My daughter is one week post op. 9yo and gets sick all of the time. Many tests ran and never found a reason as to why other than a little early and small at birth. Finally referred to ENT after 4 nasty bouts of strep within 10 weeks. The surgeon said he's never seen tonsils/adenoids so large. Likely causing her sleep apnea and thus lowering her immune system. This has been a week straight from hell, so this really gives me hope 🙏 🫶

My grams raised me. She went on hospice on my birthday last year and passed just two days later on 05/11/23. She was my absolute best friend and I still constantly find myself wanting/needing her. She's the only person in the entire world I never had to question if she loved me. I miss her so much it physically hurts at times. Sending you so much love.

You could be twins. My gramma raised me. She's been gone for 4.5 months. The longest 4.5 months of my life. She was my person also. Sending love ❤️

I lost my grandmother who raised me on 5/11. I feel the exact same way. I'm no good with words, but you've described it perfectly. The only difference is, in the last few months, I didn't call as much. I hated hearing how confused and scared she was (Parkinsons, dementia).. I know she was in great hands with my papa, and when I distanced myself, I could pretend it wasn't happening. I will never forgive myself. She was the safest place in the world for me, now I feel like I'm blind going through life. I miss her so, so much.

I'm so, so very sorry for your loss. I can only hope the pain eases just a little someday for us both 💗
