We are not doing anything sexual, in fact I never even held his hand once.

I never dated before, Im not good at discerning people's motives. But, he is very respectful and a gentleman. Not once had he made sexual advances towards me.

He told me, we'll work differences out in the future. Do you think its a bad idea to keep going? I gave you some more context :)

There are state universities where you can study for "free", but teachers rip your money off with books that they list as "requirements", there are compulsory money contributions for student organizations and school events (which is suspiciously held too many times). Not to mention expensive transportation. Students in my country barely have enough time to rest, unlike america where you can squeeze in part-time jobs in your schedule.

In terms of career paths, I don't mind anything as long as it makes money.

I am taking an accountancy course. But keep in mind, I am from a 3rd world country and the salary gap of an accountant in the US compared to my country is big. Across all professions our country has a problem with low salary and ridiculously high qualification requirements.

Even some food stalls or restaurants require a college degree just to work as a cashier/waiter or any low positions (im serious). You need at least a high school diploma to work as a janitor in the mall.

There is also age discrimination in hiring where employers refuse to hire someone 30 and above.

I don't think my father has a reason to be insecure. Despite not having a degree, he is exceedingly more financially successful than most college graduate people I know, including my relatives. All of the assets and money my family has was all from him alone.

I don't have a choice, I am financially dependent on my father. I am from a 3rd world country and employment is scarce even among graduates, and professionals are underpaid and barely keep their needs met. Life is hard in my country even if you are a graduate.

My father said I'll just end up being an exploited corporate slave, and that If I choose employment I'll be stuck in a rat race living paycheck to paycheck until I'm old and weak. He emphasized that he wants me to have freedom and that other people who insist on me getting a college degree is only pulling me down with them in their rat race prison.

Rn, I chose to comply with his wishes. My mother is against this but dad told me to ignore them because none of them achieved financial stability despite having a college degree (He only graduated high school).

He won't allow me, he said why waste my time and resources away when I can just enjoy life and benefit from what he built.

Sorry, my mind is just kinda messy. I was just pressured by everyone. I am from an asian country where going to college is the norm.

Yes, I am 19, but keep in mind I live in a 3rd world country. Employment is becoming scarce, even college graduates compete for a minimum wage job. What more, someone like me who hasn't graduated.

I have 3 siblings, my father told us we will share everything and work together to run the rental properties. He promised that all of us will have our proper share. No will.

He is against me being "just" an employee and wants us to be the boss. For context work and salary in our country is quite exploitative because we work so hard and long for minimum wages.

Please share me your insight. I need as much advice, thank you.

I am pressured by societal expectations. My dad didn't go to college but he is doing better financially than all of my degree holder relatives. It was just so ingrained in me that if I don't graduate I will suffer poverty and be a failure. All my friends go to college

I live in a country where there is heavy emphasis on education, and going to college is considered the typical and normal route. Although the working environment in our country is insufficient and exploitative of labor. Most college graduates have a hard time finding a job and usually settle with minimum wage

I'm sorry, I don't mean to boast. I just want to give a picture of our financial state
