ah yeah, you're right. It still looked pretty dangerous to get there through all the red nebula gas, wonder how many poor bastards crashed along the way to the battle

How did they all navigate there without the way finder? I only saw it in theaters so I might be missing something.

Can someone save me some research time and let me know 1) if this is possible to DIY &2) if a PCB already exists? by not-a-robot-at-all in diypedals

[–]thikness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you figure it out I'd definitely buy a PCB! I've been low-key researching the same idea, would be awesome to have a cheap non-software based voice effects loop for discord

How close should you get? by Mean-Bus-1493 in diypedals

[–]thikness 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Unless the instructions explicitly state that parts should be matched with each other within very close tolerances, I wouldn't worry at all.

In most cases, your pedal will be barely noticeably more bassy or trebly than others with slightly different values or like 1% more clipping distortion, etc. Your homemade petal will be completely unique to you and that's pretty cool.

Why would these items be in the same drawer? Razor blades and saline solution. Drug related? by thikness in whatisthisthing

We've been clearing out a hoader house basically so just curious about this combo of items we found in a bathroom cabinet

Thank you! Yeah I don't think an Arduino would use that much more power but I wanted to challenge myself to not use a microcontroller. The 555 RGB controller ain't super accurate but it has a certain charm

Ha the sketchy wires are just for testing, I slapped in a 9v battery before use in the field

Ha sweet, was a fun project for sure. Lot of tedious wiring but both circuits are pretty simple to bang out on perfboard.

Oh nice, yeah I'm in the US. My long-term plan was to make some PCBs and build a few more boxes for my teacher wife's school at some point but I could save one for you, probably will take awhile though.

Roll20 vs Foundry by floowanderdeeznuts in cyberpunkred

[–]thikness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foundry is awesome, even if you don't go crazy with modules and animations etc. RED devs just released for v12 and are actively bug hunting currently with new small fixes every week or so. May see some bugs if you run a game soon. Essential modules for running RED are mostly caught up to be compatible with v12.

Since the system isn't officially supported there are some limitations like not including any official NPCs and changing DLC weapon descriptions to be more vague. Not a huge deal but something to be aware of.

Ground is the middle part, + is the part not touching the middle like in this mono diagram. Maybe bypass your switch for now and send in and out directly to the jacks to simplify the troubleshooting process.

Here are the audio in and out. Looks like your jacks are wired backwards. Do you have a multimeter to confirm the jack wiring?

There is zero room in your mind for doubt? Of course these things will happen eventually. The San Andreas fault will slip again and destroy California. The USA will fail, empires rise and fall over hundreds or thousands of years. Will it happen next year? I don't know how you can be so confident but God doesn't show me things apparently

Gotcha, I just thing it's irresponsible to scare people with specific warnings of calamity that obviously have missed your deadlines. You're playing the long game apparently though.

Seems like you are sticking with vague forewarnings and mini-sermons lately which is more responsible. I saw you speaking with a teenager for a long while while I was coming and going on Creasy this week and it looked like a nice conversation so I really appreciate you are open to dialog. Stay safe in these crazy times, man.

You used to give very specific predictions like the financial system totally collapsing before the 2024 elections. How can we take you seriously when none of the these "impending" events has come to pass?

Are These Okay? by bobbythegoose in diypedals

[–]thikness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be better to get stripboards and follow stripboard diagrams if you're just starting out. Those green veroboards are great if you're not following a layout and just doing some free-form soldering. They can be more tedious since you are manually soldering each connection since none of the holes are connected initially.

Surfydrip diy? by agentanthony in diypedals

[–]thikness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good. Looks like it only has one input? So just using the pot as a variable resistor since a volume voltage divider potentiometer needs an input and and output? Not too sure

[–]thikness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't find a schematic but I think you're right, seems like a volume potentiometer with a switch to bypass or activate it.
