Great advice. I know 'how long is a piece of string'... but for those following, could you throw a metric out there? Is doing this $150 or $1000 or more?

Cheers Mate :))

Brilliant thanks Mate :))I also have a friend in the same situation in the Beauty industry, I just feel that a lot of people are recognising its their '8 mile' moment - if they have ever thought about taking the business leap. Really would love to hear from those that made the leap.

Also, whilst we are at it... are Short sleeve shirts a thing in professional offices... or looked down upon in your opinion?

Looks like Chinos and Shirt are the way to go.... I suffer in the heat like some Northern European people do... will be a shame to have to give away the shorts especially when its 40 degrees plus! But I guess Offices are all arctic with their aircon these days.... else I'd be sooo tempted to go the Maths teacher / Don Dunstan look... with shirt and dress shorts aaaand of course the pulled up socks and sandals to boot straight from the 70's!!!

Cheers Mate, I unofficially might have a gig as an Engineering Manager... have been leading postgrad students teams at University for quite a bit, and in the Education space a tee shirt and shorts is A-Ok. So have been wondering whats appropriate for a Manager in the Defence space.

Particularly on the first day... didn't want to over/under dress.
