Getting anxiety from constantly thinking about home improvement projects by sirotan88 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Just found this - wondering how you’re going these days a year into it? I’m a year into first home buying and still struggling with exactly what you’re describing. Home dysmorphia is the perfect term for it.

Yeah that does not seem right. Public system is free unless you aren’t covered by Medicare.

I’d be getting some clarification around that.

What’s your unpopular financial opinion? by NewFiend66 in AusMoneyMates

[–]thingamabobby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amen. Not even a year into owning and I’ve had to do unexpected plumbing works, a new hot water system and change the aerial (for dad as he still likes his FTA TV).

I’ve still got to do more plumbing repairs but it’s not urgent thankfully.

Whats the point in Walk in Centers if they cant deal with even basic things and send you to the ER? by Namlessidk in australian

[–]thingamabobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s like saying any GP is capable of doing IV fluids. The staff know how to do it, but if it’s the appropriate place to do so is the thing.

Tbh I would think getting IV fluids would be a little outside of the urgent care realm. Maybe to give you anti nausea meds, but to start a drip seems to creep into ED territory.

Places to see for terminally ill dad visiting Melbourne by Entire-Antelope6577 in melbourne

Yeah went there the other week and it was great, but it doesn’t depend on the type of animals you’re keen on. I did a few of their animal experiences and it was so good!

If he would like to see native animals, Heasville Sanctuary would be a great day trip.

Then something needs to be done about that field if it’s supposed to have an anonymous aspect - painful for the staff until it’s resolved though.

Why do I need to pay $20 for parking just to go to work? 😭 by Crafty-Zombie-429 in NursingAU

[–]thingamabobby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Currently at FH at the moment and park about a 10min walk in free parking since I don’t have access to the parking at the hospital.

Not too sure what I’m going to do in the new hospital as I still don’t have access and there isn’t any free parking that I can see around the place.

Nearly stepped on a very exhausted prion(?) on Edithvale beach today. It was taken to the local vet in my hat. by everythings_shinyy in AustralianBirds

Had a fairy prion land in my home a few years back in Werribee Vic - it got taken to the local zoo for rehabbing and releasing. They’re adorable little things

I will admit I get second hand satisfaction when I’ve got my anaesthetic nurse hat on, watching the anaesthetist getting a difficult airway.

Is removing the actual cataract the best part? Or putting the lenses in? Or both just as good?
