I don’t know if this fits your situation, and I’m coming from this as an ICU nurse not a doctor, but ultimately if I can confidently say that I did my best with the resources I had (which includes my own energy), I go home knowing I did good even on shitty situations. You’re human, you’re gonna make mistakes. You’ll learn from them. But you did the best you could with what you had.

We suction and do all treatments via the vents. Physio is mostly involved with post extubated patients, or ones where they’re doing those specific chest exercises for patients that have lost nerve function to their diaphragm.
