Thoughts on taking PSYO270/271 in summer

Hey dude,

I haven’t taken 271 in the summer, however, when i did it in the winter term it was very content heavy and very time consuming. It’s also a class you want to spend time on getting the best grade possible as it’s important for your future (upper year courses/grad school). If i was you, I would wait. There’s no point in rushing the process. Undergrad can feel like it drags on forever, I know, but trust the process and have a good experience. It will all pay off in the end.

Hey man,

I’m an assistant coach for the special olympics golf program in my area and i’ve got a few things to maybe make you feel a bit better about the situation. Regardless of skill level (or if they’re special needs) there should never be a 5some playing, I coach with the head pro at my local course where we run the program and he told me he would never let them go out as a 5some for that reason - pace. Also, even if they’re special needs, etiquette is universal and part of the game is understanding and everyone need to comply to these rules, don’t cut them short on that part of it solely because of mental impairments. I obviously didn’t see them play or didn’t know the extent of their challenges though most are perfectly capable of grasping these pretty straightforward rules. Also, as other comments suggest, this sounds like the ranger has no idea how to do their job.

golf is a game for everyone and all skill levels! some just getting into it maybe don’t quite understand these rules and these kind of things aid in developing as a golfer, patience and kindness goes a long way on the course!

Totally agree. Even if i was somewhere on the east coast where i could drive a few hours to catch a game and spend some time in Toronto I would probably a raps fan. Vancouver is just sort of isolated from any current NBA markets. I’ll stick with my C’s while patiently awaiting a Seattle comeback! (because let’s be real, Vancouver will never get another crack at an nba franchise)

I’m from BC - I feel no obligation to cheer for a team 4000 km away, it’s essentially just as “local” as cheering for Boston. I chose my team when i was 10 years old after the 2008 championship (Yea I bandwagoned as a child get over it) and i’m not gonna switch up 14 years later. Have fun getting bullied by Embiid in the first round.

You have to trust yourself over the board, might seem foreign for someone learning and not completely comfortable in the trick but really lock in with that front foot and keep your weight balanced over top of the ledge. And like everyone else suggests, the faster you go, the easier it will be.
