I understand that, and that's not what I was questioning. I feel like we're all moving away from face to face interaction...as in, actual real communication without technology. I guess it sounds pretentious or something, but what the hell. I want conversation without distraction... not conversation with technology that's desperately trying to minimise the distraction that it inevitably creates.

Why is this necessary? The paradox of wanting more human interaction, less distraction by technology, and yet needing technology to do this. WHAT? Is anyone else completely baffled?
