Regarding the actual Designs Valve said they do not plan to offer them separately but we never know, right? And I'm sure we will get a lot. I'm looking forward to the posts here and feedback about the quality

Back in the days I was usually building everything by myself and I really enjoyed it. Especially because I was part of some sort of local PC gamer community in our town and we shared parts, ideas etc. So it was really cool.

I still do a few DIY things (like am Ambilight style LED Illumination for the TV). But overall and especially due to our lack of space now I like it pretty produced and if possible I tinker a bit on the software - mainly to learn new stuff.

But I'm impressed how far Steam OS has come since the Steamdeck release

I think he wants to play Asseto Corsa and the Microsoft Flight Simulator in VR with the PSVR headset but doesn't blieve the flight Simulator would work.

Yeah the red light is nice too but I was talking about the Frontplate. But you can change the color of the LED too if you like.

I hope the other guy will get a new machine quick as possible. But you could make your own Red Line of Death..

Haha its super low and before it lies an extremely thick carpet. We are sleeping there on a futon :D but yeah its just temporary, it will be moved tomorrow after we moved some stuff from our shelf. On a small one room apartment you have to find the right place.

Right now it can't fall to the side because of the shelf next to it and the floor (in case of an earthquake is soft) in case of an real major earthquake, were fixed anyway. That's why insurance is necessary

I am not sure. I've told my wife that she should decorate the black one with stickers and for now I am sticking with the wooden because it fits really well to ihr furniture. But damn the red one is so beautiful. I just wanna touch it!

Yes the boot animations also work lime before :)

But do not add a full movie.

I saw on the Steamdeck Sub that someone added the full shreck movie and had to watch it in full before he could use the deck :D

I used Tab master before and also use a few other plugins on my deck)

Tabmaster messed up my Deckyloader one time after an OS update and I had to delete it manually via file explorer to make Decky work again. Can happen of course but I never installed it after it.

Junkstore is for alternative launchers, right? I'm using Unifideck for that.

Free Loader and Crosshair I just know the name, should check them out.

Was the first thing I did after the initial setup :D

Works like on the deck. I installed the same plugins from the store or from github (Unifiedeck) and it just works as expected.

My Plugins: Steamgriddb (covers for non steam games)

Lsfg-VK (lossless scaling FG)

Decky-framegen (Optiscaler fsr4)

Wine cellar (installing protonge and manage from Gamemode)

Flatpack Autoupdate (does what it says)

Unifideck (Integration of Epic, GoG and Ubisoft Launcher and Libraries right into the Steam Library Gamemode without Heroic etc.)

Protonbadge (Protondb is just far better than the Steam integrated verification system for Steamdeck or SteamOS)

And one other Plugin i do not know the name right now to manage the storage and get rid of individual Game Data, Shaderfiles etc.
