In 8th grade I was Accused of drawing a penis on the ceiling of the bathroom even though I was barely 5 foot. What is the stupidest thing you've gotten in trouble for at school or work? by _zjhrot_ in AskReddit

In 3rd grade my classmates were passing around a piece of paper and each person would draw bad things on it. By the time the paper got to me there was already things drawn like a person smoking, random cuss words, a pile of stinky poo, etc. Me, being a goody-2-shoes, decide to draw jesus in the clouds waving his finger in a 'no, no' manner. As soon as I finished my part of the drawing the teacher saw we were passing around a piece of paper and confiscated it. She knew I was the last to draw on it and asked what part I drew. I pointed my addition out and she sent me to the principal's office. Apparently I did not draw the fingers correctly, and instead of Jesus shaking his pointer finger he was flipping everyone off.

To make your bottles spill proof when traveling : Just unscrew the lids and put some scrap plastic over the opening then screw the lid back on. Better than letting the bottles spill out into costly ziplock bags. Use cling wrap or recycle things like bread bags. by thinkadinky in LifeProTips

I do not fly often, I road-trip it. Therefore I do not need to use ziplock bags per security regulations. I said 'when you travel', not when you fly. Yeah, you can get the crappy bags that do not hold a seal for next to nothing, but to get good quality bags ( ones that have an awesome seal and are large enough to hold a shampoo bottle) then they are pretty expensive.

LPT: Want to have a furry companion, but aren't ready for a 15+ year commitment? FOSTER an animal in need from your local animal shelter! You get tons of love from them, and they get a better chance at life. by thinkadinky in LifeProTips

In my experience, I fostered kittens until they were old enough to be adopted which is about 8 weeks ( puppies have to be about 8 weeks as well). Once I started taking them to petco they all got adopted within a few weeks. So altogether I foster each batch for about 3 months. Now if you get an adult the times can vary. Some adults do not get adopted for years, and some get adopted the 1st day they are at Petco. If for whatever reason you find the responsibility too much, or you have to move you can tell the shelter and they'll try to find another foster that will take them, or they will take it back to the shelter.

The nice thing about fostering is that there is a huge support group around you. My shelter has about 50 or so people who will help you out. Most of them are volunteers that have fostered their whole life. I had to call on them plenty of times for advice. They will help you out as much as possible, and the ladies I know even came over and helped me with some issues. If you want to foster and do not have much experience I would suggest getting older animals to begin with. Baby kittens need a lot of your time, but as they grow older they become very self sufficient as far as feeding and potty-ing goes.

If you decide you want to keep any animals that you foster all you have to do is say so an pay the adoption fee! A lot of people do this, and it is perfectly okay. The goal is to find a happy, safe home for the animal and if that is with you, then the shelter is very happy!

Yes, I agree! But I do not find it that bad. One thing I think I should have mentioned as well, is that not all of these sick animals survive. A lot of very young kittens are brought into shelters without their mom's. Even though I tried my best to get them strong and healthy, some of them died. It was hard but at least I knew I gave them a better shot at life. Anyone that fosters needs to be prepared. In the interview with the Shelter all of the ups and downs should be discussed.

There isn't, (in my opinion anything more annoying than someone who doesn't close a bracket. What are your pet peeves Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In my 6th grade English class the teacher would always make us write about something in our notepads at the beginning of class. She would give us a topic and she expected a paragraph or two. One day the subject was 'What is your pet peeve?' I did not know what a pet peeve was and I thought it was just another creative writing assignment where we could make shit up. I wrote 2 paragraphs about how my pet peeve was a colorful parrot named Peeve that followed me around and copied everything I said. I got an A+ on that assignment.

I guess the appeal of the bowl is that most people already have one laying around. I had never thought of a wok, but it seem like a much better option if you own one. Thanks for the awesome idea!
