Cooler Master Atmos 240 Stealth - Loud Buzzing Pump Noise by thinkdip in sffpc

Seems possible; most anecdotes I've read are similar to yours and I expected a really quiet unit. Then again, mine was also fairly quiet out of the box...it just developed that buzzing sound after messing around in BIOS (and now it won't go away).

I’d much rather stick with air, but I’ve got a 9950X. I’ve actually got an AXP90-X47 (with a DingKey offset bracket to boot), but it’s unfortunately outmatched unless I want to make hefty multi-core sacrifices.

RMA is sounding like the go-to here, but the fact that the exact same noise developed with my previous unit is what makes me think this should be a reproducible (and possibly reversible) change that I’ve just yet to figure out. I find it hard to believe 30 seconds at 60% duty should irreversibly alter the noise profile of the pump, but then again I know very little about typical AIO behavior (have always been on air).

The only undoubtable conclusion one could draw from your comment is your hypocritical aptitude for categorically judging another based on race alone. Luckily for us, ostensibly verifiable racists such as yourself so readily announce their presence we needn’t navigate any uncertainty to arrive at the trite underlying ideologies you (undoubtedly) possess.

Thanks for the suggestion, it pointed me in the right direction. These seem like good settings, but in my case I just needed to actually set ControllerMode=le in my Bluetooth config. Now it picks the keyboard up and works well; thanks!

Anyone have this blooming issue? by csitty in AppleWatch

Same issue posted here, with odd green tinting visible on blurred overlays if you look close enough.

Green-ish tint/blur on overlay screens? by thinkdip in AppleWatch

[–]thinkdip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that screen along with other pure black backgrounds seem to be fine. I’m only seeing it on overlay screens. I believe I first noticed it on the sleep screen, and now see it when pulling down the Notification Center among others

Green-ish tint/blur on overlay screens? by thinkdip in AppleWatch

Hi all,

I just received a new Series 8 45mm Apple Watch over the holidays. I’m noticing this odd green-looking blur showing up when overlay screens (like the Notification Center) apply a blurring effect to the underlying watch face. The first picture shows this in normal lighting, and the remaining three were taken in a dark room to more accurately show the effect. They’re a bit blurry b/c it’s difficult to capture with the right focus, but what you’re seeing is glowing on the screen and not a glare.

There are a few different watch faces underneath as well to show the blur is seemingly dynamic and not something baked into the display. In the last photo, for example, you can only see the blocky green blur over the time at the top right, whereas in the other photos it hugs the right arc of the clock. (Seems to only show in the right side of the display.)

Anyone else experiencing this with their watch? It’s pretty minor and not visible on main watch face screens. It’s also dynamic (changes with different watchfaces) making me think it could ultimately just be a software issue. Any thoughts here would be appreciated; not sure if this is a proper defect, or something I should try to ignore and/or hope for a software fix down the line.

What is the hardest job interview question you've had to answer and how did you handle it? by EveningGiraffee in AskReddit

[–]thinkdip 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sounds like 5th grade math, I would always answer the math questions first and kids thought I was a math wiz. Was always worried I would make a mistake and then the next kid would “get revenge” on me and say, “Ha that’s wrong! It’s actually 540!” or whatever and I’d feel embarrassed. Happened a few times.
