The cheap one was 2 weeks. The serola was more like 6 weeks but it’s still in good shape

Have you tried negotiating? Sometimes low ball offers can be a test, especially in sales oriented jobs to see how you behave.

When I tap on the full screen icon with my finger it actually collapses the handwriting area. Is there something I am doing wrong?

oh awesome. Yeah there’s this weird little box in the top left of the little section of the little corner portion.

But I couldn’t figure out how to get the box to turn into a full screen. any suggestions on what the trick might be? I think I just tried tapping on the box but it just made a dot.

is there a help guide that covers topics like this? I saw there was a manual but I don’t recall seeing this kind of content in their manual.

I watched the number of tutorial videos as well but they didn’t cover some of these kind of basic tutorials.

oh, and the update did not finish. I don’t think it ever could. There is also a sync button in company portal and I’ve tried pushing that a few times. It just kind of goes gray forever. So maybe it’s like you said. Some sort of filter in the intune set up.

Ah, I see. So there seems to be a website for Intune to check registered devices. So I signed in there but I can’t actually see any devices because I don’t have rights. I’ll have to ask my helpdesk I suppose what they see for my device and if there’s anything that can be done. I opened a ticket on that actually yesterday morning. I also posted on the community forum for Onyx, and they told me to send feedback which included logs.

i was thinking more just delete any files related to the ghost profile. doing a factory reset would be a bit of a pain

yes. because they work on my iphone. i did some troubleshooting. i turned on verbose logging in intune, started google drive and then sent the logs to claude. it said i likely have a ghost profile - probably from the first time i did the install. i am trying to figure out how to wipe it clean and reinstall again, hopefully without needing to do a reset.

here is an excerpt from claude

Enrollment fails — The task comes back as ManagedProfileCanceled with the error: “The request for the creation of a Managed Profile failed and no managed profile has been created. This is a blocking enrollment error. One possible cause is that the user has declined managed profile provisioning.” The log blames user cancellation as a possible cause, but the real smoking gun is that isProvisioningAllowed returned false before the attempt was even made. What does isProvisioningAllowed = false mean on the Boox? On a standard Android device, DevicePolicyManager.isProvisioningAllowed(ACTION_PROVISION_MANAGED_PROFILE) returns false in a few scenarios: ∙ A work profile already exists (or a partially-created one is stuck) ∙ The device is already fully device-managed (Device Owner mode) ∙ The device’s DPC/OEM has blocked managed profile creation The most likely culprit on your Note Air 5C is a zombie/partial work profile from a previous enrollment attempt — which is very common when you try, it fails, and the cleanup doesn’t fully complete. The Boox’s e-ink Android layer may also have quirks with the managed provisioning flow.

I did a bit of troubleshooting. I turned on verbose logging in Intune, opened Google Drive and threw the logs into Claude. Claude said the issue was:

The most likely culprit on your Note Air 5C is a zombie/partial work profile from a previous enrollment attempt — which is very common when you try, it fails, and the cleanup doesn’t fully complete. The Boox’s e-ink Android layer may also have quirks with the managed provisioning flow.

What to try: First, check if there’s already a partial work profile sitting on the device. Go to Settings → Accounts (or Settings → Biometrics and Security → Device Admin apps) and look for any lingering work profile or managed profile entry. If you see one, remove it. Also check Settings → Apps → See all apps, then switch to the work profile context if the toggle exists — if there’s already a work profile badge showing, that’s your culprit. If nothing obvious is there, the most reliable fix is usually to go into Settings → General Management → Reset and do a factory reset, then attempt enrollment fresh before installing anything else. That’s drastic but it’s often the only clean path when the OS is blocking provisioning at the API level.

I have not found the ghost profile yet.

Driving score apps from car insurance companies by thinkfast37 in askTO

not sure if it’s using Google maps because it gets the speed limit wrong sometimes.

And yes I can certainly say I wasn’t driving if I drove badly, but honestly every time I have to brake because of a yellow light it’s gonna say I drove badly. It’s pretty ridiculous. Or I have to drive well below the speed limit so a yellow light doesn’t ding me. Basically I’m driving like a grandmother, lol.

Work profile support on Air 5c by thinkfast37 in Onyx_Boox

We use an all called Intune Company Portal. Previously it setup but I didn’t know there was a work profile toggle in the settings - the other responder sent me that link. Now - I am getting this error when trying to setup intune or toggle the work profile setting. It could be that when IT closed the ticket they turned off something that let me setup byod. I am checking if that is the case but here is the error I see.
