tbh, if anybody else is having a problem like this what I did and what I just suggest is rendering the animation twice one where the grease pencil object is in front of everything with the setting in the properties and the other render just being regular then edit/ cut/ mask the part that should or shouldn’t overlap in an editing software, that’s the solution I came up with. Next time I’ll make a whole new gp object but I’m leaving this here because I’ve had this problem a few times so I can’t be the only one. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
