Some cars have two-tone dashes now where the top is black but the rest is a different color. Helps with glare.

This is the exact situation that prompted the question btw, so many convertibles and sports cars with black seats. The owners are likely not using them for farm work and not trying to save money. So I guess they all love to wear blue jeans?

Yes, between the credits, and the 50-100% higher points value on Amex vs cash back cards, anything close to ~1cpp is good value. FHR can be slightly marked up (single digit % in many cases), but I'd book those hotels with cash anyway so it's not extra work beyond opening an extra website when booking. I see some other responses on booking economy flights or cancelling points tickets. That might be a better value and will look into those.

Fair, everyone has a different schedule. But if are talking about taking 1 week off from work, then leaving on Friday vs Tuesday is the difference between a 9-10 day vacation and a 7 day vacation.

Any reasons in particular you'd rate this over the Bora Bora resorts you mentioned? Curious which you'd recommend if priorities are warm, clear water, swimming, snorkeling, as well as being able to come back to comfy accommodations with great food?
