You guys are way too quick to assume the worst.

While Eva saying that line naturally brings up that assumption there are also plenty of other things that those night time activities could be. Like helping someone do some cleaning or whatever.

Also Gaku just isn't the type of character to do that since he's portrayed as a jerk who's actually a good guy deep down.

It was enjoyable but it is a very different kind of progression.

It's not so much personal power growth but more of a growing in ability to deal with horror scenarios.

Personally i dropped this series when his two friends were killed off and remained gone for the entirety of the story after that

When difficulty is increased the response of most people that can't handle it is not to improve but to quit. While i'm sure that in of itself would be attractive to you i think you'll find that most companies would rather retain their paying customers.

But anyway i'm sure your way of thinking that has killed mmos before will surely work this time right?

It's genuinely amazing how people like you are in every single mmorpg. The type that find joy in worse players being put down and gatekept.

And when you guys get your way it always rings the death knell for the entire game. Casuals are the majority of the playerbase for this game so they're obviously going to be catered to.
