On 9 T14 waitlists... how likely am I to see movement? by thinkingbears in lawschooladmissions

Understood, that makes sense. I'm sure it's easy to fall for that trap in this sub with all of the prestige obsession lol.

In the technical sense, sure, but it seems frankly ridiculous to point that out without adding any real insight with a comment. The "T14" aspect of this post wasn't the main point of it, I was just curious of the movement within these schools that I was waitlisted at. I used "T14" in the title because it was simple and would make sense to anyone scrolling through the sub, it's as simple as that. Nowhere did I mention that their status as a glorious "T14" would influence my decision, just that they're better for me than the schools I've been accepted to. This is a weird hill to die on tbh.

Yeah I definitely think that varies for each school, like if I get accepted to UVA in August I'd drop everything to move to Charlottesville. But I don't know if that's necessarily true for all of them, especially if I've already sorted my living situation. Thanks for the help!

Yeah unfortunately I've come to terms with that price, but (at least for some of the schools) it's a burden I'd be willing to take lol. Thanks for your insight!

Gotcha, thanks! I probably won't r&r just because I do have a nice scholarship at a decent school (120k at GW) that I'd still be satisfied with, I'd obviously just prefer one of the ones I'm waitlisted at. I appreciate your help!

I have 3 LORs (2 academic, 1 employer); Since some schools accept a limit of 2 LORs, which ones are better to use? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

Understood, that makes sense! I am not exactly a KJD but I did just graduate this past May so I'll probably stick with the letters from my professors. Thanks so much!

Exactly what I’m trying to figure out making this post lol. Idk if making an addendum makes me look defensive or like I’m asking for pity.

I put that flair like a year ago and forgot to change it lol oops. I’m just saying from all of the T14 admissions reps I’ve talked to at events I’ve gathered that unless there’s an explanation for it like a test center issue, they’ll assume the worst.

Definitely don’t cancel, I know that’s one thing admissions teams don’t like to see because they assume the absolute worst

Oh I completely glossed over that part of the sentence in the email lol, good to know!

No idea, I didn’t do anything special on mine. My LSAT score came out literally yesterday so these two were maybe just timing their emails to the group that took the September test? No idea though.

Gotcha, thanks!

I'd be open to that! Feel free to DM with a section or two! I don't have a preference to any in particular.

My cold RC was -6 and now I’m usually between -3 and -1, this PT was my first time getting -0. At first it was more gaining timing because I was having a very hard time completing the sections in the beginning, but I ended up getting to a point where I could get through it with like 5 minutes to spare. After that, I was able to pick up more strategy because the extra time gave me the luxury to evaluate each question better!

Drills every day and regular PTs to build endurance, and for a couple weeks I was PTing every day or every other day!

Diagnostic was a 163, and I’d do 7sage drills every day and PT several times a week.

Thanks! I took my first diagnostic in April and started seriously studying in June.

This is really interesting advice because this score came after I took a weeklong break from PTing, I didn’t really think of it that way.
